Bauer rolls out new websites

Bauer Media is upgrading its online presence with a range of new website for all 42 of its radio stations.

Magic 105.4 is the first station to get a new look, with Key 103 and Clyde 1 following shortly, followed by the rest of the network.

The current design has been online for almost a decade, and the new sites, say Bauer, are built with a stronger focus around editorial content, and scalable opportunities for commercial partners.

The new web site project was a joint effort by Bauer's local design and development team in Manchester lead by Aaron Cornish and the London Radio Online team lead by Bruce Mitchell. "Both teams worked to deliver a product that combined all the best learnings from across Bauer Radio to deliver a new common commercial and editorial solution that will be easy for consumers to use and for clients to buy."

Bruce Mitchell, Head of Digital for Bauer Radio London, commented: "According to Nielson UKOM a Bauer Radio user views more pages, more times in a month and spends longer on our websites than most other commercial radio sites and our objective is to drive this reach higher through content that connects with audiences across the country.

Iain Clasper, Development Director for Bauer Radio, commented: "Online audiences are vital to Bauer's continued growth and our new sites will allow us to take another major step in connecting audiences with compelling and bespoke content which reflects our on air commitment. It also ensures flexibility for our commercial partners who can now work with us by station, region, or across the entire portfolio easily."
