Clyde’s Bowie on the move

Clyde 1 breakfast presenter George Bowie is taking his show on the road for a week of 'Live on Location' specials across Glasgow.

Celebrity guests including girlband Wonderland will join him out and about across the city as listeners get the chance to watch the show live from locations such as the railway station concourse.

The five day event, which will run from March 7th -11th, includes live OBs from the concourse of Glasgow’s Central Station and the Champagne Bar of the Grand Central Hotel.

George’s co-host on breakfast – Suzie Maguire – who recently gave birth to her third baby, is also due to make a guest appearance, as well as singers Wonderland, Emma’s Imagination, Carrie Mac and comedians Craig Hill and Daniel Sloss.

George told RadioToday.co.uk: "I'm extremely excited about hosting 'Live on Location' next week directly from the concourse at Glasgow’s Central Station. But by far the best thing about the five day event is the opportunity to engage face-to-face with local listeners, and to experience all the excellent banter Glaswegians have to offer as they pass through the station on their way to work."

Tracey McNellan, Station Director at Clyde 1 and Clyde 2 said: "This week of live activity is all about bringing top notch entertainment to our audiences, in order to say a big thank you for helping us to retain our position as number one radio station for Glasgow and the west. We encourage the public to tune into the station over breakfast, and not to miss out on all of our fantastic competition prizes that will run throughout the week."
