Chorley FM has put its entire radio station sponsorship package on eBay.
The “buy-it-now” price is £6,600 and includes complete sponsorship of the community radio station for a six-month period.
It’s not the first time a radio station has used eBay to bring in cash. Rock Radio in Manchester is currently selling merchandise on the auction site and in 2007 Clear Channel put advertising packages from hundreds of its radio stations online.
Radio Aire auctioned off a £12,000 on-air promotion in 2009 and community radio station Two Lochs Radio did something similar in 2007.
