Have a Heart partners with Childline

The Heart Network’s charity Have a Heart is teaming up with Childline to help raise money for the recruitment, training and support of 140 new volunteer counsellors.

It comes as Childline celebrates 25 years in operation.

To kick-start the partnership, Have a Heart is launching a brand new fundraising campaign called Gain an Hour, Give an Hour. As the clocks go back one hour at the end of this month, Heart is asking its listeners to donate the equivalent of one hour of their salary.

Have a Heart was established in July 2009 with the aim of improving the lives of children living in the communities to which Heart broadcasts. Since then, the charity has raised over £750,000.
