Singers-turned reality TV judges Tom Jones and Jessie J have been announced as part of the line-up for the concert to finish Radio 2’s 2DAY next month.
The 12-hour broadcast sees the station’s schedules turned upside down to showcase some of its specialist output during daytime hours.
Tom and Jessie will perform an exclusive live duet during 6-7pm hour on 10th May at The 100 Club in Central London, which will be presented by Chris Evans.
Helen Thomas, 2DAY Executive Producer, says: “Tom Jones and Jessie J are a fantastic addition to 2DAY. We have some amazing live music and entertainment throughout the day and listeners are in for a real treat.”
Also booked to sing live on the station on 2DAY are Damon Albarn, Paloma Faith, Keane, Nik Kershaw and Carol Decker. Bellowhead, Jamie Cullum and the cast of West End musical Jersey Boys are among those appearing in the live gig for the final hour of 2DAY, which will be simulcast for TV viewers on the BBC’s Red Button service.
