Jason Donovan is taking a short-term sabbatical from Heart, with television presenter Jenni Falconer joining the Sunday line-up instead.
Heart’s owner Global Radio says Jason Donovan is taking the break as he continues the UK tour of Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
It means the Sunday schedule looks a little different, with Jenni across the Heart network from 6am till 8am, and Stephen Mulhern & Emma Willis’ show being pushed forward two hours, 8 till 12. Previously Jason hosted 10am till 12pm.
The local show continues 12pm-4pm.
Jenni is best known for the work on The National Lottery and GMTV and currently contributes to ITV’s This Morning. She said: “Joining the Heart family is incredibly exciting and to be given my own show is an honour. I can’t wait to share my Sunday mornings, chatting about the week’s hot topics, all whilst playing great music.”
Global Radio’s Director of Broadcasting Richard Park said: “Jenni reflects what Heart is all about – she’s popular, great fun and she’s a hard-working mum who lives life to the full. We are thrilled to welcome her Heart.”
