Chris Rick made Controller at Radio City

Rock FM’s Content Controller Chris Rick has been appointed as Content Controller for Bauer Media’s Radio City in Liverpool.

The station appointed Nathan Thomson as Content Controller after Programme Director Richard Maddock left for 5 live, as announced in the summer, but he’s left to join Kiss in London.

Chris Rick has been Content (Programme) Controller at Rock FM since 2010 and was previously PD at TFM and Magic 1152, where the station won European Station of the Year. He was also Deputy Programme Director at Key 103.

He’ll start his new role on 6th January 2014 and will continue to report to Ande Macpherson, Regional Content Director, Place, North West. Bauer Media is currently recruiting for Chris’s replacement at Rock FM.

Owen Ryan, Group Programming Director, Place, Northern England and Scotland, added: “Chris’s move to Radio City is another example of Bauer ensuring that, moving forward, we have the most creative, passionate and committed team of experts across both our Passion and Place portfolios. It’s come full circle for Chris as twenty-two years ago this week he had a shout out for his 13th birthday, the day he decided he wanted to work in radio!”
