Legendary keyboard wizard Rick Wakeman is to present ‘Rick’s Place’, a live show exclusively on national DAB digital radio station Planet Rock.
Wakeman, band member of world-famous rock group ‘Yes’, is joining Planet Rock in September to present a 3-hour show featuring tales of his exploits on the road and in the studio.
Listeners will be able to question Rick on anything they like via e-mail, he’ll be joined by a guest each week and will also play the very best rock music including some of the 2,000 tracks he has featured on.
Rick’s Place will broadcast every Saturday from 10am to 1pm from 17 September.
Commenting on the new show, Planet Rock Executive Producer Trevor White said: ‘We’re delighted that Rick has joined the Planet Rock team and can’t wait forthe show to start. He is a one-off and brings a lifetime of experiences from rocks top table to share with Planet Rock listeners.
