The new sound of Capital

The long awaited re-launch of Capital is here. Owners GCap Media announced on November 24th 2005 the station was set for a full make-over. Under plans to rebuild Capital FM audience numbers, the station has reverted back to the name Capital Radio and introduced a new advertising policy meaning there will never be more than two commercials in a row.

Today, we are also treated to a new line-up, new music position, on-air jingles, logo, plus 24 Hour London news. The station website remains the same with the exception of the new logo.

They've halved the number of ads and doubled the playlist to bring you the More Music 9 to 5. The new line-up includes TV star Jeremy Kyles Sunday evening show and, after standing in for Johnny on the Breakfast show, Craig Doyle gets a regular show every Saturday morning from 9am 12pm. Paul Gillies joins for a brand new evening show and London's Love Songs will be hosted by Murray J.
