The new commercial radio station covering Manchester started irregular trade tests yesterday ahead of it’s launch at 8am on March 15th 2006.

Intermittent burts of music and short idents, along with a feed of sister station 105.4 Century FM, housed in the same building have all made it onto the new frequency of 97.7 Mhz FM. However the tests are not continuous and may not be regular until the beginning of March.

Based on the ground floor in Laser House, Salford Quays, Manchester the station is owned by GCap Media who also run Capital Gold 1548, Century FM annd DNN from the same address. They currently have a competition online to choose the first track played by the station.
