Northwest regional radio station 100.4 smooth fm have celebrated their 2nd birthday at 2:22pm by launching 2000 balloons from various locations around the northwest.
Smooth FM favourite Alexander O’Neill launched the event on-air with a countdown whilst chatting with presenter Dave Croft, as balloons in Chester, Southport, Blackpool and Manchester were let off into the sky. One of the balloons contains ?2000 for the lucky person who finds it.
100.4 smooth fm is owned by GMG Radio and launched at 8am on March 2nd 2004 after taking over from JAZZ FM Northwest.
