Palm FM reveal programme plans

Palm 105.5fm’s Head of Programmes, CJ, says that programme plans are developing on time for a summer launch, “It’s going to be exciting, refreshing and fun and just right for Torbay and the surrounding area.”

Palm FM is owned by Sunrise Radio and won the licence for Torbay on September 5th 2005 and expect to be on-air this summer. Palm is committed to a minimum of 18 hours of live, locally produced programming 7 days a week.

Palm will offer a mixture of music, news, and comment as well as the latest information on local events. This new combination will appeal to the local audience across all age groups. The radio station will present intelligent comment and will stimulate discussion and debate about the important issues that reflect public opinion. The radio station’s vibrant local relevance will provide key differences to other existing radio services.

Music:

Daytime music will feature artists with broad appeal: all-time favourites, plus the more melodic current hits together with some album material.

News:

Hourly news bulletins will prioritise local stories daytime Monday to Friday and until 14.00 at weekends, with national news featured at other times.
