Radiojam have exclusively revealed in this weeks issue that Saga will bid for the next analogue licence for Greater Manchester, despite losing out to XFM for the last licence.
It is the fourth licence win for MD Ron Coles, following successful station launches in the East and West Midlands, and Glasgow. Other applicants for the licence included GMG’s Smooth FM and RockTalk, Macquarie’s Diamond FM, as well as GCap’s Fun Radio and Chrysalis’s The Arrow – two digital formats that are yet to win an analogue licence, despite numerous applications.
