The head of music for GCap North has been promoted to look after the music output for the entire network. Mike Walsh previously looked after Xfm (Manchester and Scotland) and Century FM (Northwest and Northeast) but will now take on more responsibility within the group.
Mike will work more closely with GCap North PD Ande Macpherson and Xfm London PD Andy Ashton.

He’s passionate about new music, already knows the Xfm brand inside and out, and having worked as a radio plugger for Parlophone brings with him invaluable knowledge of the music industry as a whole. Together with Ande in the north and Andy in London, Xfm’s music team has never been in better shape to consolidate Xfm as the UK’s number one music network.”
