River Media, along with the Alpha Newspaper Group and the Irish News have announced the purchase of the Q radio network. Together, the consortium has a number of regional media interests in Mid-Ulster – and this new deal is said to be worth millions of Euros.
River Media are a becoming a major player in radio in Northern Ireland, having recently won the new licence for Newry in June, and Ballymena last year.
The company also bought Mid 106 from CN Group earlier this year.
