Digital radio station Yorkshire Radio has launched on DAB across Yorkshire, and online at yorkshireradio.net
The station is broadcasting from Leeds United at Elland Road and will feature music and sport, including full match commentary on all home and away games. The first song played after a long countdown sequence was ‘I predict a riot’ by Leeds band The Kaiser Chiefs.
The station started test transmissions a couple of weeks ago on the Yorkshire Multiplex by a spare previously used by GMG Radio, most recently broadcasting jazzfm.com
