Daily Record sponsors Sport

GMG station Real Radio Scotland has signed a one-year deal with The Daily Record and Sunday Mail to become the official sponsor of the station's Real Sport news bulletins, from immediate effect.

Owned by the Trinity Mirror Group, The Daily Record and Sunday Mail will sponsor seven daily bulletins from Monday to Friday, and four bulletins on both Saturday and Sunday.

The latest deal follows a period of positive activity for Real Radio?s sports content. Scottish Gas has renewed its sponsorship of the Sony nominated Real Football Phone-In for another year this summer, and in recent weeks entered a deal which now sees the phone-in show broadcast live on Setanta Sports every Monday and Wednesday.

Real Radio?s Programme Director, Jay Crawford, said: ?The latest deal represents yet another great partnership for Real Radio?s sports output. I look forward to building yet another successful relationship in what is a very exciting time for the station?.

Kirsten Morrison, Marketing Director, Scottish Daily Record said: ?The opportunity for the Daily Record to work with Real Radio on sponsorship of the Sports Bulletins was an easy one to make. Both organisations are recognised as being at the forefront of providing breaking sports news, and working together in this partnership will only further enhance this reputation".
