Bids welcomed for Hereford DAB

A new Digital Audio Broadcasting radio multiplex has been advertised today by Ofcom. The latest licence will cover Herefordshire and Worcestershire, and is one of a number of new local radio multiplex licences for local services in those parts of the country not already served.

Ofcom estimates that this licence could achieve coverage of an area with an adult (aged 15+) population of around 586,000.

The closing date for the receipt of applications is 3.00 pm on Wednesday 06 June 2007, and it will cost you a non-refundable fee of £5,000 to submit an application.
