UPDATE: Digital radio station The Hits is giving listeners the chance to broadcast their own show – and at the same time raise money for Comic Relief. Wannabe presenters can bid on eBay for to host the three daytime programmes on the UK-wide station on March 16th.
On Red Nose Day, one winner will host breakfast from 7-10am, a second will present on the morning slot including Retro Hits 10am-1pm, and the third will get to do the afternoon show, including the Themed Lunch Hour 1-4pm.
The Hits broadcasts from Castle Quay in Castlefield, Manchester to over 1 million listeners per week.
Jamie Wood, Station Manager for The Hits told RadioToday.co.uk: "This is a great prize for someone who’s always wanted the chance into the studio and experience what it’s really like being a radio DJ. Broadcasting to over 1 million people might be scary, but what an achievement! Plus, it’s all for a good cause."
