Real deal for Daryl Denham

Former Virgin Radio breakfast presenter Daryl Denham is joining Real Radio Yorkshire to host their weekday evening show. The Sony Gold award winner was most recently working at Real's South Yorks rival Hallam FM.

Daryl will host the 7-10pm interactive jukebox show Monday to Friday, a programme that will also feature new music and interviews with established artists.

In addition to time on Breakfast and mid-mornings at Hallam and his stint at national station Virgin, Daryl's worked for regional stations 100.7 Heart FM in the West Midlands and Century FM in the North East. He is also remembered by Yorkshire listeners for "The X-rated Daryl Denham Show" which aired across some of Emap's Big City Stations, including Radio Aire, in the late 90s.

Real Radio Programme Director Tony McKenzie, who was PD during Denham's time on breakfast at Hallam, said: "Daryl has always been on my list of favourite presenters. He is well known and loved throughout Yorkshire and a great addition to our team."

Daryl added: "I can’t wait to get started. I’ll be playing some fantastic music and hope that you can join me."

He starts on weekday evenings at 106-108 Real Radio Yorkshire on Monday (5th March)
