Muthamma Prasad, known for having a very public exchange of emails with Resonance FM boss Richard Thomas has been given the chance to host her own programme. Richard was not interested in her idea after attacking her for having 'a poor etiquette stand'.
Muthamma originally sent an email to Richard asking to meet out of office hours for an idea for a new show. The community radio boss over-reacted and sent an email back asking if she was mentally deficient, and said: "I am not interested in your idea at all especially since if your social etiquette is anything to go by only a cretin would want you anywhere near a microphone and the mass media."
But now community radio station Phoenix FM has decided to give her idea a go, as station manager Steve Mead told us: "As Muthamma is not too far from us we thought we'd meet up with her.
"The idea to run a book/literary review was something that we had mulled over and as she was so enthusiastic about the idea we thought it only fair to give it a go. We are big on presenter enthusiasm here at Phoenix FM and we like to welcome people with their own ideas rather than forcing them into a format that they are not comfortable with."
Her first programme will air tonight (Friday) at 7pm. Phoenix FM covers Brentwood, Billericay and the surrounding areas in Essex as well as [link=http://www.phoenixfm.com/]online[/link].
