The Play Radio UK network is now available via a special site on mobile phones. The four brands, which re-launched in October last year includes Play Rock UK, with many different kinds of rock and metal, plus Play Top 40 with non-stop music from the charts.
Marcus Quilter, Station Manager, told RadioToday.co.uk: "This technological expansion of Play Radio UK is crucial for the future. Our audience likes what we do so much, they now want to have us with them wherever they go, and not just on the PC at home and at work.
"As the number of mobile phone owners continues to grow, and advertising spend on mobile networks is forecast to be $1.5 billion in the US alone this year, we are understandably proud to be leading the field, with our broadcast streams being among the first in the UK to appear."
