Xfm offers show for download

Xfm is launching a series of free podcasts to give listeners the chance to hear the radio station's "Residency" shows again. The Sunday night show began last month with former Blur frontman Damon Albarn taking over the station for four hour-long editions. The links and highlights of the guest presenter's music choices will be on downloadable file.

During May, "The Xfm Residency" will be fronted by the Manic Street Preachers, whose shows will also be available as podcasts.

Every guest or band is completely in control of what goes on air during their show and the records they play are from their personal collections providing a rare insight into what really inspires these music idols.

The Xfm Residency podcasts follow on from the GCap Media station's successful Adam & Joe Podcasts, which racked up more than a million downloads, and The Xfm Sessions (which included exclusive full tracks from Goldfrapp, Stereophonics and Paul Weller).
