GMG turns listeners into DJs

Century FM northeast is letting listeners co-host the breakfast show this week. The opportunity to let loyal listeners loose on the GMG station came as Lisa Shaw from the Scott and Lisa Breakfast Show took a week off. Scott Makin has the pleasure of looking after the five special guests.

Paul Smith, programme controller at Century FM told RadioToday.co.uk: “There aren’t many stations brave enough to let its listeners actually co-host a primetime show like breakfast.

“Our listeners play a huge part in our output, especially at breakfast, and we knew there were some great characters out there who could really add something to the show while Lisa was away. We’ve uncovered a few potential stars, so she’d better watch out when she’s back in!”
