Kerrang! Festival Freeload

Kerrang! 105.2 is set to bring a host a summer festivals to their listeners featuring backstage news and gossip, with the help of one lucky listener who will get the chance to act as Listener Reporter. The summer of festival-themed activity is part of a new deal with Staffordshire University.

The campaign kicks off with the Kerrang! and Staffordshire Uni branded promotion, the ‘Festival Freeload’ giving all the info from line-ups to the backstage shenanigans of the summer’s packed festival schedule.

Kerrang! will also be distributing Kerrang! lanyards with dual branding ‘Access All Areas’ passes attached to them, directing listeners to the Staffordshire Uni microsite where they will have the opportunity to win money can’t buy prizes.

The signing of this new deal is part of a two-year relationship for Staffordshire University and Emap Advertising using Kerrang! Simon Thomas, Agency Director at SMRS, said: "This is a natural development of the partnership between Staffordshire Uni and Kerrang! and shows a real commitment to promoting both brands to a music and media savvy audience with mutual benefit."
