New Late Show for Key 103

Emap station Key 103 is moving Late Night Nicksy forward 4 hours to host a new networked overnight show, whilst Magic 1152 breakfast boys Macdonald and Maguire take over the Key 103 late show. The Sunday to Thursday slot will now feature calls, competitions, celebrity guests, comedy and occasional live music.

One-half of the show, Spence McDonald has been around at Key 103 for many years and told RadioToday.co.uk the new programme will be “a departure from what has previously occupied that particular slot.”

He said: “The phone-in element will be retired when we take over as we move to produce a show quite unlike our previous ones. There'll be parodies, listeners bulletins from friends of Macdonald and Maguire on MySpace and occasional live music in the Late Night Lounge.”

The presenters will also produce a weekly podcast of exclusive off-air material featuring behind the scenes goings on and comedy. The new show starts on July 1st.
