SIRIUS operates Radio Dad

American Satellite Radio network SIRIUS is providing a range of different services for Father's Day today, which will be known as Radio Dad. The broadcaster has also recently covered special events such as the 61st Annual Tony Awards and the 2007 CMA Music Festival, held in Nashville.

Radio Dad will feature sons, daughters and wives sharing personal stories about their fathers and shout-outs dedicated to dads as well as dads-to-be and grandfathers. Radio Dad will also broadcast endearing dedications from kids to their military fathers serving overseas.

Mixed into the Radio Dad broadcast will be comedy bits about the joys and woes of fatherhood by comedians and fathers Ray Romano, Bill Cosby, Bob Newhart, Robin Williams, Dana Carvey, Dane Cook, John Leguizamo, Jeff Foxworthy and others from SIRIUS’ Laugh Break channel 105. Listeners will also hear every favorite song for dad from Paul Peterson’s “My Dad,” to John Mayer’s “Daughters,” and Luther Vandross’ “Dance with my Father.”

If you have a SIRIUS subscription, you'll find the special weekend station on channel 119 until midnight tonight (17th June).
