Former Red FM presenter Martina O’Donoghue is heading back to UTV Radio to host the afternoon show on Cork's 103fm. Martina previously worked for 103fm’s sister station, Cork’s 96fm, in the mid-90’s. She also worked as a continuity announcer and programme narrator on RTE 2 television.
Commenting on her move to Cork's 103fm, Martina told RadioToday.co.uk: "I'm delighted to be joining such a well renowned and successful broadcasting company as 96 & 103fm and with my West Cork roots, I'm looking forward to being stationed in Bandon and becoming immersed in the vibrant West Cork scene."
Chief Executive of Cork’s 96 & 103fm, Kieran McGeary added “Martina is a great addition to our team of talented presenters. The fact that she was born in West Cork and has lived in Cork is a great asset for a local station. The addition of Martina is just one of a number of significant changes we will make to 103fm in the coming months.”
Martina will join 103fm on Monday 30th July and will be based at the studio complex in Bandon which has been recently refurbished followed an investment of almost €200,000. She will be on-air each weekday from 2pm to 6pm in the West Cork region.
