GMG Radio considers options

GMG Radio is to conduct a review of its media buying as the group gets ready to launch two new stations. GMG already invests significantly in marketing its existing 11 stations and is inviting selected agencies to pitch for the business.

The shortlist of invited agencies has been drawn up and will include incumbent agency Brilliant Media, which has provided GMG Radio with a media buying service for many of its station for the last four years.

The review will be led by GMG Radio Chief Executive John Myers and Group Marketing Manager Helen Dickinson and is expected to be concluded by the autumn.

John Myers said: “We’ve been very happy with the service that Brilliant, and a number of other agencies have provided for us but after four successful years, its time to review our options to ensure we have the right agency for our future plans. This is normal procedure within our division.”
