Don Imus has agreed an undisclosed settlement figure with his former bosses at CBS, after the presenter was fired in April for racist and sexist comments on-air about a women's basketball team. No terms of the settlement were revealed but reports today suggest he is in talks with 77 WABC AM New York to resume his radio career there.
Imus and CBS Radio have "mutually agreed to settle claims that each had against the other regarding the Imus radio program on CBS," the American network said in a statement today.
He has previously suggested a $120 million breach of contract law suit.
Imus in the Morning was previously produced by New York sports radio station WFAN, who has announced today that former NFL quarterback and veteran CBS Sports broadcaster Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton will take-over the morning show from September 4th.
