Local radio stations wanted

Local commercial radio stations with a TSA of less than 300,000 are invited to submit their application for the next regional Nations & Regions Award. Each regional winner will be in with a chance of winning the 2008 Sony Radio Academy Awards Station of the Year.

The Awards are for OFCOM licensed (including Community Radio stations), BBC and BFBS radio stations with a potential adult listenership, published TSA or editorial coverage area, of under 300,000. The Ofcom supplied Measured Coverage Area will be accepted in exceptional circumstances.

The aim of the awards is to celebrate programming that caters for the needs of a local UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man audience. Judging and awards presentations are organised by The Radio Academy’s branches and will take place before the end of 2007.

Each branch will award one Nations & Regions Award to the station that the judges feel demonstrated the most consistently outstanding output. The winners will be awarded at each branch’s Nations & Regions Award Presentation Evening in November/December 2007.

Closing date is Wednesday 19th September 2007. Click [link=http://www.radioacademy.org.uk/record.jsp?type=optionalPage&ID=32]here[/link] for full details and an entry form.
