More football for Beacon Radio

Beacon Radio is increasing its football coverage this coming season. As well as commentaries on every Wolverhampton game, the GCap Media station will be providing commentary on all West Bromwich Albion matches too. Beacon will also be linking with BRMB for a Friday night phone-in.

Bill Hatton and Wolves legend Robbie Dennison will be returning to front the Wolves commentaries, whilst West Bromwich legend 'Bomber' Brown joins the Beacon team to co-commentate on all of the Baggies matches this season.

The new show 'Big on Black Country football' will kick off on day one, next Saturday 11th hosted by Stu Haycock, who's very excited by the new addition: "Game On last season was an outstanding success for us, but we wanted to move the show forward and this is the best thing we could have done! Beacon is a black country radio station, and therefore making sure we are providing the best Black country football show is paramount. The addition of Baggies commentaries is a significant move to show our commitment to football in the black country, and now we can boast we have all corners covered, with Wolves and Westbrom commentaries and Walsall updates!'

Beacon Radio will also be adding other new shows around the Saturday football show, as well as the return of the phone-in show after the full time whistle, they''ll be joining forces with sister station BRMB on a Friday night for the 'Legends Phone in', hosted by Tom Ross, who will be joined by various legends each week.

The football will start from midday on both Beacon and BRMB on a Saturday, with the 'Kick about', which has been extremely successful on BRMB for the last few seasons, now though, Beacon will also be taking the magazine football show, which is likened to 'Soccer AM on the radio'.
