BBC Radio 1 will continue to celebrate John Peel’s legacy by holding a third day in his honour, on October 11th. Zane Lowe announced the event during his programme yesterday asking listeners to get involved in whatever way they can.
John Peel Day occurs each year on the anniversary of John’s last live show on the station, and will celebrate live music submitted by listeners. In addition, the station will be hosting a show at the Electric Proms, with Siouxsie Sioux, Agaskodo Teliverek and Radio Luxembourg.
