Judges announced for Awards

The judges have been announced for the first European radio awards. Organisers say they have been selected on the basis of their experience and expertise within their field and in the UK includes Trevor Dann from the Radio Academy and Mary Story from Emap programming.

Over 30 judges from around the European Union are taking part, and the event is sponsored by many radio companies from around Europe.

Other judges include Keith Pringle, former managing director at Capital Radio, Chris Lowrie, head of imaging for LBC 97.3 and Paul Jordan, former managing director at Red Rose Radio.

The Global Traffic Network European Radio Awards will culminate with an awards ceremony to be held November 5th in Barcelona as part of the NAB European Radio Conference. Closing date is October 12th.
