Programming teams at UKRD stations are celebrating one of the biggest RAJAR gains the Group has ever had. UKRD stations increased their total listening hours by 674,000, equating to 17% growth, whilst adding 21,000 listeners, including an increase for Star in Bristol with a high 14.7 average hours.
96.4 Eagle Radio was the largest contributor increasing its total hours by 36 per cent whilst Cornwall’s Pirate FM added 110,000 hours increasing its lead over Atlantic FM. Other stations posting increases included County Sound and Star Radio in Cambridge & Ely, whilst KL.FM increased its Reach to 33 per cent.
Group programme director Phil Angell told RadioToday.co.uk: "It’s fair to say that Star Radio in Bristol has the most loyal listeners of any UK mainland FM commercial station. As a city, Bristol should be proud of that fact. Our results at Eagle Radio and Pirate FM speak volumes for the teams on the ground who have delivered these figures."
