Bridge walk for Tay charity

Two volunteers are set to walk the Tay Bridge twice to raise money for the Radio Tay Caring for Kids charity. Ashley Keith and Pauline Low are walking 9000 metres on December 2nd to raise money for the campaign which aims to help local underprivileged and needy kids.

The Tesco staff will be in fancy dress and will be accosting motorists and other bridge walkers with their buckets trying to get them to add to the sponsorship money they have already collected for charity.

Regional Managing Director and Radio Tay presenter, Ally “Ally Bally” Ballingall said: “The girls have really got into the spirit of the campaign, doing something fun and a bit different while still raising money for such a good cause. I hope that everyone who uses the Tay Bridge on Sunday digs deep to help the girls reach their goal.”

Ashley said: “Tesco have joined up with Radio Tay to take part in the campaign and as employees we wanted to do our bit to help. We decided to do the walk across the bridge as we felt it was a little bit different and hadn’t heard of anyone doing anything like this before. We are also doing it in fancy dress – Pauline wanted to do it naked but I felt that would be a little bit too different!”
