Classic FM turns to whisky

GCap Media's national FM station has agreed a major deal to promote Grant's Whisky over the Christmas period. The online and on-air ads for its Scotch Whisky brand is part of a six-figure deal and starts tomorrow.

The mainstay of the partnership will be a takeover of the homepage on classicfm.com – a first for the Classic FM website. From 1st December, listeners will be able to log on and open a Grant’s Whisky advent calendar. Behind each door will be the chance to win a bottle of Grant’s Whisky every day and at the end of the promotion, a luxury trip to Scotland including a meal at Edinburgh’s famous Witchery restaurant and a trip to the Grant’s Whisky distillery.

The deal was brokered by GCap Media’s Helena Graham and Richard Cox, Head of Radio and John Ayling and Associates.

Helena Graham says: “We are very excited about this campaign as some of the new elements are a media first for Classic FM, many different departments have been working incredibly hard to ensure that this year the Grant’s Whisky activity is even bigger and better than before.”
