Community station Harborough FM has won joint first prize in the website category of the Community Media Association’s Web Awards. It was given the award alog with Weave FM on the basis of ease of use, welcoming messages and clear invitations to get involved.
Station Manager Barry Badger said: “We’re delighted to receive this award as it recognises just how good our website is. A lot of time and effort goes into putting the content on the site and listeners have told us they really like it.
“To receive an award just nine months since we launched is fantastic.”
The website was designed by Market Harborough-based Netmagik, who continue to offer help and support. HFM, which broadcasts on 102.3 FM, secured a five year community radio licence to serve Market Harborough and South Leicestershire after eleven short term broadcasts since 1995.
