Century FM rebrands for 2008

Over a year on from their change in ownership, both Century FM stations, based in the North West and North East, of England will re-brand in January 2008 as Century Radio, with new production, jingles and a new logo to match sister stations Real Radio.

Both regional services will adopt a variation of the established Real Radio logo, seen here for the first time.

New station production, produced by Bespoke Music will begin on January 1st across all Century and Real Radio stations. The same package will broadcast on all stations and will be resung for the different names and frequencies.

A spokesman for GMG Radio said: “From January 1st, Century FM in the north-west and north-east will become Century Radio. The change is being introduced to reflect the fact that both stations are available across different platforms, including on-line and digital."

"Both 100-102 and 105.4 stations were launched as Century Radio so will be reverting to their original names.”

Both stations were purchased by GMG Radio in October 2006 from GCap Media.
