The KM Group have switched their FM and DAB programmes of kmfm to non-stop festive pop for the month of December. All programmes, except specialist weekend shows will be getting listeners ready for the holiday season.
kmfm Group Programme Controller, Steve Fountain says "We've looked at out play list and cranked up the festive content and we've thrown into the mix some real classics that'll surprise our listeners – in a good way. Add to that our Christmas programming involving some of Kent's best known celebrities – we feel we're really behind building the Christmas spirit across the county."
Real Radio Digital was the first UK station to start playing all christmas songs this year, and Touch FM Coventry (on DAB) flipped to an all Christmas format in December. Community radio stations WHCR in Hull and WCR in Wolverhampton will also be playing non-stop seasonal favourites on FM till Boxing Day.
