Peterson tribute on theJazz

GCap's national digital station theJazz is suspending normal programmes on Saturday to pay tribute to Oscar Peterson, the jazz pianist who passed away this week at the age of 82.

In a two hour special, theJazz presenter Tim Lihoreau looks back at the life and the music of one of the greatest jazz musicians that ever lived. theJazz Remembers Oscar Peterson is broadcast at 11am this Saturday (December 28).

During the course of the two-hour programme, Tim looks back at a career that spanned some seven decades, choosing recordings from his performances with the likes of Ella Fitgerald, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie.
