Radio stations owned by Town and Country Broadcasting in Wales have banned the winning X Factor single by Scottish Leon Jackson. Listeners to Bridge FM, Swansea Bay Radio, Radio Carmarthenshire, Radio Pembrokeshire and Scarlet FM want a re-count after it was revealed Welsh Rhydian missed out on the winning prize.
Programme manager, Gareth Davies told RadioToday.co.uk: "Our radio station presenters have been inundated with calls suggesting that during Saturday’s X Factor their votes for Welsh favourite Rhydian supported by local Neath diva Katherine Jenkins were not able to be counted as lines were jammed.
"As a result until justice is done, we’ve decided not to play the winner’s single on our group of stations".
