Another heavyweight exits GCap

Following the shock departure of Steve Orchard from GCap last week, today it was announced that Group PD Dirk Anthony will also leave the group at the end of March.
Anthony has worked with GWR and latterly with GCap for 14 years.

New chief executive Fru Hazlitt announced the news in an email to all staff earlier this afternoon.
"Dirk has undoubtedly been the consummate programmer — always sharing his expertise and knowledge with a self-styled wit and enthusiasm," said Hazlitt.
"I know that many of you will want to join me in thanking Dirk for all he has done and wish him every success for the future."
Anthony served in a group programming role for GCap. It was announced last month that Capital 95.8 Scott Muller would be moved on from the London station into a group role similar to Anthony's.
Dirk Anthony told Radio Today: “After enjoying over 10 years with GCap and GWR Group, it’s the right time for me to find new career opportunities. I’m very pleased to have played a senior executive role in helping make GCap a great company to work for and I wish my colleagues the very best for the future.”
