GTN recruits traffic experts

Global Traffic Network is expanding its UK operations following the signing of a three year deal with UKRD. The travel news provider has hired Matt Jones as Senior Developer and Stuart Barton as a reporter in Oxfordshire.

Matt has been in the traffic reporting and technology industry for 10 years, working for the BBC Travel Unit and for Serco at the National Traffic Control Centre. He will work alongside new colleagues in Australia on enhancing Global Traffic Network’s incident capture system, but will also appear on air on occasions.
Stuart has worked at AA Roadwatch for 17 years and will present reports on UKRD stations and Jack FM, and help manage Global Traffic Network’s airborne reporting operation.
UK Managing Director Paul Hutton says “We at Global Traffic Network are committed to using only the finest traffic and travel news talent. In Matt and Stuart we have two more people who know every aspect of the business who will help ensure we give our affiliates the first class service they deserve. I am delighted to bring them into the team.”
