Devon's Exeter FM launches

Devon's newest radio station has launched today at 6am. Exeter FM, which is owned by the London Media Company won the licence to cover the city in September 2006 and opened with Queen's Don't Stop Me Now after a long countdown sequence and news bulletin.

Exeter FM won the licence to serve the county town of Devon after beating off competition from Sunshine Radio, Exeter Live and Silver FM from Macquarie.
Presenters on the station includes Nino Firetto at breakfast, Colin Slade during the day and Jon Hellier at drivetime. Jingles are by Wise Buddah (a re-sing of the Radio Aire package) and the main station voice-over is Dan Harper.
