Gus McKenzie, the former managing director of Key 103 and Paisley's QFM has left the radio industry to take up the position of sales and operations director at Excel Publishing. Gus most recently worked on behalf of Absolute Radio to apply for the second Manchester licence as JACK fm.
His radio career also led him to Sheffield as managing director of Hallam FM and to Scotland as MD of the former Independent Radio Group. He left Emap in 2006 to apply to Ofcom for JACK.
