Global strikes deal with Fox
Heart 106.2 has secured a year-long deal with 20th Century Fox to promote seven high-profile movies over the next 12 months.
The exclusive deal marks the first time Global Radio has struck this type of deal with a movie studio.
Heart will promote upcoming 20th Century Fox’s films such as the Ashton Kutcher/Cameron Diaz comedy What Happens In Vegas, animated family film Horton, Australia starring Nicole Kidman and romantic comedy 27 Dresses.
The What Happens in Vegas promotion will see Heart 106.2 run a fiery ‘battle of the sexes’ competition in which men and women will be asked questions based on the opposite sex for a chance to win a trip to Vegas.
Global will also screen the movie, which launches in the UK on 27th March, in the Galaxy and LBC Film Club on five screens next month.
Susie Macklin, senior brand development manager for films at Global Radio said: "We’re really excited to be working with Fox on these fantastic 2008 releases in what is an advertising first for Global Radio in terms of a film company deal. This adds to our growing portfolio of options for film clients commercially which includes an LBC/Galaxy station Film Club which is one-year-old this month."
