GCap Media, currently sending a Put Up or Shut Up message to potential buyer Global Radio, is thought to be receiving interest in its local radio stations from The Local Radio Company. TLRC announced late last year they are actively looking for further acquisitions.
The news, reported in the Western Daily Press, says TLRC wants to cherry pick from GCap's network of 42 stations.
TLRC's station hunt follows a successful year running 28 local stations around the UK, ranging from Fire in Bournemouth and Isle of Wight Radio to Central FM in Stirling. TLRC are have a shareholding in 107 The Bee (Blackburn) and 107.3 Abbey FM (Barrow-in-Furness).
