Wish FM is likely to remain in the hands of UTV, after only one declaration of intent to renew the licence was received by Ofcom.
The declaration was sent by the current licensee, 102.4 Wish FM Limited. Ofcom will now invite UTV to reapply for the licence under the fast-track procedure.
If the licence, which broadcasts to Wigan and St Helens is re-awarded, it will be renewed until 31 December 2015.
