Community radio group Brooklands FM are back, offering a live stream of local programming until June 15th. The station will be applying for a full community licence later this year.
Brooklands FM targets listeners in north west Surrey in the boroughs of Elmbridge, Runnymede, Spelthorne and Woking.
This trial internet broadcast will be streamed from studios above Cosmic Electricals, in Addlestone, Surrey. It will showcase local musicians and bands, who will be performing live in the store, mixed in with local information, interviews with a local relevance, travel updates and competitions, based around music from the past five decades.
Brooklands FM tells us their recent RSL broadcast was listened to by 20 per cent of local people during just before Christmas.
